The GE Power Regulator Board DS3800DOAA features 6 trimmer resistors and 29 single-pin connectors. The GE Power Regulator Board DS3800DOAA also is populated with 20 terminals for attaching components.

The trimmer resistors are assigned IDs that are 3 position IDs. The first 2 positions are RH and the last is a numeric value. The trimmer resistors are potentiometers because they can be adjusted. They are sometimes called trimpots. The technician can adjust the resistance based on the needs of the drive. The technician must have a testing device ready to test the board while adjusting the trimpots. The trimpots are adjusted with a small flat-blade screwdriver. Once the adjustment is made, a small amount of clear glue or other agent can be used to cover the screw and prevent it from being moved. Each trimpot is wired to a different circuit on the board and you can use the printed installation documentation to know which trimpot to adjust for a circuit.

For some applications, it is necessary to add components to the board to produce a processing outcome. The terminals enable you to add the components easily. To add the components, loosen the terminal screws located on top of the terminals and insert the lead wire of the component under the terminal screw. Insert the lead wire into the other terminal and tighten them both.
