Description
The DS3800DGRD1 is an auxiliary circuit card made by GE for the Speedtronic Mark IV turbine control series.
The auxiliary board has many capacitors, including large 100 volt cylinder-shaped yellow capacitors, as well as mid-sized yellow capacitors and small 80 volt yellow capacitors. One side of the auxiliary board is taken up by 27 black potentiometers. Potentiometers are adjustable resistors, usually labeled with the minimum and maximum settings in Ohms. The DS3800DGRD1 auxiliary card features many jumper pins that have blue jumpers. On the auxiliary board are also many small striped diodes and resistors in varying colors as well as many solid diodes and resistors. The auxiliary board has connector ports that are black on the side of the board. The board has a red switch and a black switch between the two connector ports. The DS3800DGRD1 has a series of test points aligned beside the jumpers. Located on one side of the auxiliary board are many square gold-colored capacitors.
The Speedtronic Mark IV Control System was developed from the earlier Mark versions, the Mark I and Mark II systems. The early Mark versions were founded on the automating of turbine controls, and also the sequencing and protection of turbines that were developed in the earlier part of the 20th century. The Mark IV system is the result of over fifty years of the creation and perfecting of new technologies. The Mark IV turbine system was designed to fulfill all that is required to control a turbine, including control of fuels, within the parameters of speed and load control.
The DS3800DGRD1 auxiliary board will be in a static bag which dissipates any static energy prior to openingfor the safety of the user.
