The IS220PIOAH1A is a component created by General Electric for their Mark VI and Mark VIe systems.Both are platforms with integrated software and hardware designed for the management of heavy-duty gas and steam turbines. The IS220PIOAH1A functions as a Communication Bridge I/O pack.This component does not have any associated terminal board, but its associated interface board is a JPDV board.As an I/O pack, the component is mounted on its associated board in order to digitize the sensor signal, to perform algorithmic computations, and to communicate with a separate controller that has possession of the main processor.I/O packs have their own processor board installed that uses the QNX OS that is connected to a data acquisition board. TheIS220PIOAH1A has an onboard temperature sensor to provide continuous monitoring of the pack's current environment, even in remote locations.The component has an operation range of -30 degrees Celsius to +65 degrees Celsius. The pack has an internal solid-state circuit breaker. TheIS220PIOAH1A is housed within a rectangular casing with openings on three sides to allow for ambient cooling and air flow.One side of the housing has two Ethernet plugs and a power plug along with two mounting studs. The front faceplate includes LED indicators for Ethernet status and connection along with others for power status and attention.The front panel also includes an infrared port transceiver for low-level diagnostics, for the setting of host/function names, and to monitor Input/Output. I/O packs are designed so they can be replaced with disconnection of field wiring.
