Description
The DS3815PCLA1A1A is a printed circuit board by GE designed as a component for the Mark IV system. The Mark IV, which was created for steam or gas turbine management, replaces earlier Speedtronic systems (MKI/MKII) with an improved interface and more application flexibility. The Mark IV is designed with multiple microcomputer systems that monitor the turbines twenty-four hours a day; these backups improve reliability and decrease the turbine outage rate (compared to older systems.)
The DS3815PCLA1A1A is built with a total of five board connectors. This includes two Augat connectors, two 218A4637P1 right-angled male connectors, and one 218A4553-1 A/mp 533002-1 connector.It has two test points that are labeled TST and COM. The board is built with three light emitting diodes, including one amber LED (IMOK) and two red LEDs.
The DS3815PCLA1A1A has over sixty circuits populating the board.This includes 8-bit high-speed CMOS static RAM chips with fast access time and low power standby and low power operation. Access time is 150ns. It also has hex inverting gates, buffers/line drivers employed as memory-address drivers, clock drivers, and bus-oriented transmitters/receivers, and two-input positive-NAND Schmitt triggers with high noise immunity.
The DS3815PCLA1A1A is built with eighteen jumper switches. It has five resistor network arrays. The board is factory drilled and alignment marked. Two extractor clips are installed. These nylon clips give an advantage during extraction by providing the technician with a lever point to help pull the board from its location. They also provide a handle so the technician does not have to touch the board during installation or extraction.
The DS3815PCLA1A1A had technical support provided by GE. This includes all end-user publications like data sheets and manuals.
