Description
The DS3810CLCB1 is a PCB manufactured by GE as a component for the Mark IV gas and steam turbine control system. The Mark IV is a dedicated control system designed by GE to continuously monitor the turbine system with multiple computer diagnostic systems and can monitor such things as control sequencing, speed control, and shutdown. These diagnostic systems improve the reliability of the Mark IV (compared to earlier Speedtronic systems) and decrease the rate of turbine outages.
The DS3810CLCB1 is an auxiliary board to the larger DS3815DMCA.These two boards communicate through a ribbon connector that is located on the DS3810CLCB1 and is labeled JA. The board has another PCB mating connector (218A4637P5,) which is a right-angled male connector.
The DS3810CLCB1 has three jumper switches. These electrical contact points complete a contact, thus completing a circuit. Jumpers allow the operator to configure certain settings on the board as they need. For example, J1 can be set to EX or INT. Jumpers on the DS3810CLCB1 each have two positions.
The DS3810CLCB1 is built with two resistor networks. Resistor network arrays are sometimes used for digital-to-analog conversion, analog-to-digital conversion, as terminals for DDRAM or SDRAM, or as voltage dividers.
The DS3810CLCB1 has thirteen circuits, including octal tri-state buffers and line drivers, and oscillating chips.Capacitors are primarily ceramic, and resistors are typically ceramic-covered metal film. All components are marked. The board is designed to screw-mount to the DS3815DMCA.
Reference material for the DS3810CLCB1 such as datasheets and manuals was supplied by GE. GE was responsible for all technical support for this product.
