Description

The DS3800NOTA is a PCB component manufactured by General Electric for their gas/steam turbine management system, the Mark IV. The MKIV was General Electric’s third widely available Speedtronic system, and the first to use integrated microcomputers to protect the turbine system from issues like fire, high pressure, and vibration. These microcomputers can also automate things like the turbine’s start-up and shut-down procedures.

The DS3800NOTA has been alignment marked with letters (A through J) and numbers (one through five) along two edges. It has been factory drilled at each corner.

The DS3800NOTA has nineteen circuits and sixteen trim potentiometers spread around the surface of the board.Potentiometers are used for adjustment, calibration, and tuning of circuits. The board has two Augat connectors (female) and one vertical pin male mating connector. There is a terminal strip with six screw mounts on one edge. Terminal blocks and strips allow more than one circuit to be tied together by clamping wires down using the screw connections.

The board is built with polyester vinyl capacitors as well as capacitors of other materials. Resistors can be metal film or carbon composite. There are several test points located on the board. The DS3800NOTA will ship to you protected by a static-reducing sleeve or covering. Technical support was originally provided by GE.
