The DS3800NHVF1 was created for General Electric’s Speedtronic Mark IV line. The DS3800NHVF1 is one of many circuit boards used to control gas turbines. There are twelve large brown resistors with different bandings of colors. Resistors are used to limit the current flow, adjust the signal levels or divide the voltage. The DS3800NHVF1 has four black boxes known as relays. A relay is an electrically operated switch, that is used when a circuit needs to be controlled by a lower power signal. The DS3800NHVF1 features four large silver capacitors, four smaller yellow capacitors, four long black capacitors and four tiny yellow capacitors. Capacitors are used to hold prospective energy in an electrical field. The DS3800NHVF1 has around thirty diodes of numerous colors. Diodes allow for a current to flow in a single direction. The DS3800NHVF1 also has four light emitting diodes or LEDs that are red. The LEDs light up as the current flows through them. The DS3800NHVF1 also has six white masculine ports. These ports are used to connect the DS3800NHVF1 with additional circuit boards. Each white port has a diverse number of connection prongs. On average each port has three prongs placed in different areas of the port. The DS3800NHVF1 is considered a “daughter board” because it connects to a much larger board known as a “motherboard” in order to function.
