Description

GE manufactured the DS3800NECA to work with its Mark IV system. The DS3800NECA works as an exciter control board. The Mark IV(Speedtronic) system was designed for gas or steam turbine control and can automate some functions including cool down procedures.

The DS3800NECA has the following specifications:

• It has 12 LEDs. These include one amber and 11 red LEDs.

• It has two switches. This includes one toggle set in the upper left and one push button set in the lower left.

• It is designed to accept an optional auxiliary board.This auxiliary affixes to the board along the middle bottom of the DS3800NECA. Four nylon pins are inserted into the DS3800NECA to support the corners of the auxiliary, and a 218A4807P3 male ribbon connector is available to aid in communication between the two boards.

• It is alignment-marked along two edges.

• It has thirty-one TP test points.

• It has spare PTH available.

• It is built with twenty-five integrated circuits.

• It has one six-pin header and one four-pin header available at the top right of the board.

• It has two 218A4637P2 and one 218A4637P3 (male) connectors.

• It has two 218A4807P1 vertical pin male connectors.

• It has two transistors.

• It has one potentiometer.

The DS3800NECA is built with many diodes, resistors, and capacitors. Resistors tend to be ceramic covered metal film, and are of differing values. Capacitors include three 200V M/e 708A1 .22 +/- 10% yellow capacitors.
