GE manufactured the DS3800NDMA1 as a Div Multiply card to work within the Mark IV Speedtronic system. The Mark IV, which was created for gas and steam turbine control, uses integrated chipsets with two-out-of-three voting redundancies to maximizeefficiency and uptime.

The DS3800NDMA1, which is nine inches along its longest edge, has the following specifications:

• -factory-drilled.

• -extractor clips installed. These help technicians with insertion or extraction by giving another surface to touch other than the circuitry itself. The clips also allow for leverage.

• -accepts a daughter board. The DS3800NDMA1 accepts DS3800DDMA1A1A as an auxiliary.Four nylon pins support the corners of the auxiliary and twenty brass, nickel plate pins lock it into place.

• -two LEDs, one red and one amber. The first is labeled 'gain,' and the last is labeled 'imok.'

• -integrated circuits (26.) This includes Motorola SN74LS38J Quad 2-input NAND buffer and Texas Instruments SN74LS14N Hex Schmitt-trigger inverter.

• -multiple capacitors and resistors. Resistors tend to be ceramic covered metal film.

• -fourteen test points.

• -two reinforcement bars made of anodized aluminum. The bars are placed at the top and bottom of the board and are in accordance with IEEE recommendations.
