Description
The DS3800NCID1C1C is a current isolator circuit board. This product was manufactured by GE. The DS3800NCID1C1C is a vital part of the Speedtronic Mark IV series for gas and steam turbine control. Current isolators protect both equipment and people from short circuits and electrical shocks. They also help to minimize ground loop, eliminate conducted noise, separate different parts of the system, and ensure not only accurate but also safe measurements.
The DS3800NCID1C1C features a 4202-1 isolation amplifier identified by its part number, 68A9216P1. On the other end of the DS3800NCID1C1C is a large black transformer. Four jack boxes are found on the other half of the board. Each of these jack boxes houses a male connector port. Extra components can be connected to the DS3800NCID1C1C using these ports. Grouped together in one corner of the DS3800NCID1C1C are four blue potentiometers, alternately known as variable resistors. Each potentiometer features a dial which can be adjusted when necessary to change the resistance of each part. Capacitors in various colors and sizes are scattered all around the DS3800NCID1C1C. Their colors include green, red, yellow, and black. There are also two round silver capacitors. Several diodes can be seen on the DS3800NCID1C1C. Many resistors which are banded in different colors are located among the other parts. The DS3800NCID1C1C has two integrated circuits which contain within them many very small parts such as capacitors, diodes, and resistors.
