Description
The GE Battery ROM Board DS3800HRMB1 is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The board is populated with 1 40-pin connector embedded on the board. The GE Battery ROM Board DS3800HRMB1 is populated with 1 reset toggle switch. The board is also populated with 7 jumpers, and 1 20-pin connector. The analog/digital converter is a component embedded on the board. It converts the analog signals to a digital format. The digital format is used for signal processing throughout the drive.
Troubleshooting the GE Battery ROM Board DS3800HRMB1 is comprised of several steps. The board is populated with a reset switch to restart the board without disconnecting power to the board or the need to remove the board. Only a qualified servicer can reach inside the drive while power is supplied to the drive. The drive has many high-voltage components that can delivery a serious shock or burn.
Some best practices can help reduce the risk of a serious shock or burn. Have an assistant of another servicer with you when you perform any service or maintenance action on the drive. If an emergency occurs, the other individual can throw the emergency shut off device which will immediately remove power to the drive. The other individual can also call for help or provide first aid, if needed.
The reset switch will enable the control signals to restart which might enable them to regain the proper sequence.
