Description

The GE Network Controller Board DS3800HLND1B1B is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Network Controller Board DS3800HLND1B1B also is populated with 3 red indicator LEDs which are visible from the front of the board. The board also features 8 jumpers and 1 erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) module.

The jumpers on the GE Network Controller Board DS3800HLND1B1B are assigned IDs that are prefixed with the letter J. Each jumper is assigned a numerical value as a suffix to uniquely identify the jumper. Some of the IDs are J1, J5, and J7. When the board is manufactured, the jumpers are set at a default position. This is a common configuration setting used by most installations. However, based on the needs of the installation, the jumpers can be moved. The jumpers are comprised of 3 pins. The jumper always covers 2 of the 3 pins. The jumper can cover pins 1 and 2 or pins 2 and 3. To move a jumper, all power must be removed from the drive and the board has to removed from the drive and placed on a clean static-protective surface. Static protective mats are available or you can use a flattened out static protective bag.

Use your thumb and forefinger from 1 hand to lift the jumper from the pins. Then, align the jumper with the pins you want to cover and gently insert the jumper over the pins. To avoid bending or breaking the pins, never force the jumper over the pins.
