Description
The DS3800HFPB1 is a processor board used to control turbines. The DS3800HFPB1 was made by General Electric as part of the Mark series.
The Mark series ensured the operation of turbines, including safety, since the Mark I developed in the 1960s. On one of the sides of the DS3800HFPB1 board is a jack connector. This 40 pin male jack connector is used to connect the circuit card to other parts in the system. All around the card are many devices called integrated circuits. Found on each single integrated circuit is a variety of electrical components. Each integrated circuit contains diodes, resistors, capacitors and other devices. All over the board are several small blue capacitors. Capacitors, sometimes called condensators or condensors, are electrical components that can energy in an electrical field. There are 8 light-emitting diodes with red-colored indicator lights on one of the edges of the board. Diodes are electrical components that can conduct energy in a single direction. Their resistance is high in one direction and low in the other direction. Operators are alerted to any issues with the devices using these diodes. There are a few jumpers with blue jumper pins on one edge of the board. These jumpers connect 2 pins and create a connection between them. These jumpers are used to modify the functions of a circuit board. The name of the device, DS3800HFPB1, is stamped on the lower edge of the board.

Repair
We offer repair on most GE Turbine boards we sell. Although we usually have replacements available, we recognize that customers may prefer to have their board repaired. Our repair program allows us to offer a lower cost alternative to replacement.
