Description
The GE Line Driver/Receiver Board DS3800HDRA1B1B features a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive. The GE Line Driver/Receiver Board DS3800HDRA1B1B also is populated with 2 jumpers, and multiple capacitors. The board also has 2 40-pin connectors accessible from the front of the board.
The 40-pin connectors attach to ribbon cables. The ribbon cables allow for 40 separate signals to be sent and received by the board. Each signal is sent or received over fine strands of wire. The connection between the wire and the connector is delicate and can easily be broken. To maintain the connections, consider the following information. When you disconnect the ribbon cable from the 40-pin connector, hold the ribbon cable from the plastic connector only. Never pull the ribbon cable out by tugging it and holding the ribbon cable. Hold the connector and if necessary, rock it back and forth until it is released.
To connect the ribbon cable, hold the connector and align it with the connector on the board. Then, press it into the connector. If you see spaces between the connectors, press down on the ribbon cable connector again to ensure that all the connections are complete.
Even though the 40-pin connectors are accessible while the drive is powered on, it is a safety hazard to touch the board or any components while the board is operational. Electric shock or burn can occur. First power off the drive and wait 30 seconds before touching the drive components.

Repair
We offer repair on most GE Turbine boards we sell. Although we usually have replacements available, we recognize that customers may prefer to have their board repaired. Our repair program allows us to offer a lower cost alternative to replacement.
