Description
The DS3800DVRC by General Electric (GE) is a turbine regulator circuit board. This circuit board is part of the Mark IV Speedtronic line. A regulator board is a crucial part of any system. It keeps current or energy levels flush when there is an unexpected power surge. In order for that to happen the board needs several crucial things. The board has what are called "power resistors" which is what holds and disperses high power energy or jolts of intense energy like in a power surge. These power resistors are varying in size. There are a total of ten on this board. There are also approximately seventy-five other resistors on this board. These resistors are considerably smaller and help move the current around the board. Each resistor has induvial markings or bands of color that are part of a code to determine the amount of energy each resistor can hold and carry. There are also Potentiometers also known as variable resistors which the worker can control. The worker controls them by turning a black knob that is labeled zero through one-hundred. To get an accurate current adjustment the knobs are also labeled with ten-degree interval marks. The Potentiometers are also marked with an arrow on the top of the knob. The last major part of the DS3800DVRC is the EEPROM. An EEPROM is a small black chip that holds all the programming necessary for the board. EEPROM come pre-programmed and cannot be changed. If additional programming is required another EEPROM may be added. There are sixteen silver tac points around a section labeled "SPARE" where this EEPROM may be placed. Nothing additional would need to be done to get the current to go to the new addition as the tac points provide that.
Purchase
Please give us a call or send us an email for pricing on New Surplus and Reconditioned replacements that we have in our inventory. Our lead times are short, stock is excellent, and pricing is competitive. We hope to be your go-to supplier for all GE Turbine replacement boards and controls.
Exchange
We conveniently offer an exchange program that allows you to recycle your old board and receive an up-front discount on a replacement. Please ask about our exchange credit program if you have a defective board to exchange with the purchase of a new or reconditioned replacement. We ask that the defective board is sent in within 30 days of the purchase.
Repair
We offer repair on most GE Turbine boards we sell. Although we usually have replacements available, we recognize that customers may prefer to have their board repaired. Our repair program allows us to offer a lower cost alternative to replacement.
