The DS3800DPLA1B1A is part of the Speedtronic Turbine Mark IV line by General Electric (GE).This board is a small regulator board. The board has four drill points that allow for this "daughter" board to be attached to a larger "motherboard". The board also has two connectors attached to a wiring harness for quick installation. This board has a yellow polypropylene capacitor and three brown resistors that are large in size. These components are attached to the board by six tower terminals. These towers are a bronze color and feature a flat head screw on the top to secure each part in place. The tower terminals allow for the parts that are held (i.e.: diodes, capacitors, resistors) by them to be changed out as needed without having to re-solder the parts in place. The DS3800DPLA1B1A also features a variable resistor or Potentiometer. This is the blue square shaped component on the board. The variable resistor can be adjusted with the screw on the faceplate. Adjusting the variable resistor allows the operator to have control over the current flow across the board at any given time. The board also has four smaller resistors attached directly to the board. Each resistor features unique color banding to show the Ohms or power load each one can handle. The DS3800DPLA1B1A also has three red LEDs or light emitting diodes. These illuminate as current passes through them. The DS3800DPLA1B1A also has Jumper ports. These Jumper ports are a set of metal spikes that have tiny covers. The operator can move the covers between the twenty spikes to decide which path the current or energy will flow.
